Prior to focusing on the UX / IA related aspects of web sites
and applications, and following the completion of CIW's
website design and e-commerce certification progam 
,
I spent 4 years working as a website designer, taking responsibility for
all aspects of creative visualisation for a large number of websites ranging
from 1 page Flash animations to larger database driven applications, always
seeking to strike the right balance between visual appeal, function, originality,
and ease of use.
I have a good understanding of sales, marketing, corporate ID, as well as a naturally creative flair for the compilation of colour, fonts and graphics.
Strong visual design skills have helped greatly during the creation of wireframes and other UX documentation. It's also enabled me to provide valuable input into the sometimes challenging task of ensuring that the usability of page layouts is maintained during the creative and development phases of website production.
