Search engine optimisation (SEO)

Developing a good understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques has allowed me to bring considerable increases in business to some of my clients.

Running an e-commerce site as part owner served as the catalyst for me to take my SEO skills to the next level, ensuring the succesful positioning of key pages on Google and other search engine results pages.

Since then I've continued to increase my search engine knowledge and I've had considerable success in applying keyword research to both SEO and information architecture planning. These 2 disciplines are closely linked and the benefits of a combined approach can be significant.

Common SEO activities are as follows:

  • Keyword analysis and selection
  • Site wide and page level SEO planning and implementation
  • Navigation strategies for SEO
  • Writing content for enhanced SEO
  • Internal link strategies
  • Incoming link strategies
